HCFR team responds to an early morning fire

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The investigators with Horry County Fire Rescue say the fire that happened early Saturday morning in the Wampee Community appears to be accidental.

Officials say they are still investigating the exact cause of the fire that left one person with injuries.

The HCFR responded to a fire around 6 a.m. Saturday along Old Chesterfield Road. Chief Justin Gibbins tell WMBF when firefighters arrived they found flames shooting through the roof and the house was declared a complete loss.

The Red Cross was called on the scene to assist one person displaced by the blaze, said Gibbins.
