Hartsville PD seeks home invasion suspects

HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) Police in Hartsville are searching for two men that fled after they reportedly broke into a home in the Plantation Pine Trailer Park Tuesday morning.

Donald Quist, spokesman for the City of Hartsville, says police used bloodhounds to track two black male suspects that fled from a home on the 700 block of Camellia Avenue, in the Plantation Pine Trailer Park, around 2 a.m. Tuesday after a female resident of that home awoke to find them in her house wearing ski masks.

Quist said the bloodhounds could not pick up a scent of the two men, but authorities did locate a bag of marijuana and a cell phone in the direction that the two men fled.

Right now it's unknown if the female victim was the only person in the home when it was the purportedly invaded, but Quist said she was not injured during the act.

Police have not commenting on what, if anything, was taken from the home.
