Columbia Police say a man wearing a Spider-Man mask and an accomplice robbed a dry cleaning business on Garners Ferry Road Monday afternoon.

According to spokesperson Jennifer Timmons, the robbery happened around 1:00 p.m. at the Columbia Cleaners at 7400 Garners Ferry Rd.

Timmons said the two men entered the establishment and demanded money.

The pair, according to investigators, did not present a weapon during the incident, but they did manage to leave with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.

No one was injured, but a store employee attempting to leave the store during the robbery was pushed to the ground by one of the suspects. The victim was not seriously injured.

Investigators said one of the suspects, a black male, was wearing a spider-man mask, a gray tank top, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.

The other suspect, also a black male, was possibly wearing a red hoodie pulled down over his forehead, black shorts and black socks with white tennis shoes. The hoodie had the number 81 in white letters on the back.

The suspects left the store on foot and likely got into a car that was waiting across the street.

The vehicle is described as a 4-door compact car, possibly being gray, light gold or champagne colored.

If you have any information about this case, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
