Police search for suspect in Dollar General armed robbery

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Police are still searching for a suspect in the first of two armed robberies in Myrtle Beach overnight.

Myrtle Beach Police tell WMBF News that a Hispanic male entered the Dollar General at 2000 North Kings Highway around 10:34 p.m.

The man was seen walking around in the store for about 10 to 15 minutes before the store cleared out, after which he approached the cashier, presented a handgun and demanded the money in the safe.

The man fled from the store on foot with a Dollar General bag containing an undisclosed amount of money.

The man is described to stand approximately five feet, eight inches tall, weighing 150 to 160 pounds. He has a black moustache, black hair, and was reported to be wearing a black hat during the robbery with a red "H" on it, a black shirt and black pants.

If you have information about this suspect or his whereabouts, please report it to Myrtle Beach Police as soon as possible.

Police have identified a suspect in the second robbery reported in Myrtle Beach on Ocean Boulevard Monday night, occurring just one hour after this incident on North Kings Highway.
