HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The Salvation Army of Horry County will hold a ribbon cutting on Tuesday to celebrate the completion of a new building in Conway.
The new facility will house the Boys & Girls Club program in Conway, and the ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Tuesday, June 5 at noon.
Following the ribbon cutting at the new building, located at 1415 Second Avenue, there will be an open house and refreshments until 1 p.m.
Captain Bret McElroy, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army is grateful for the donors who made the building possible.
"The dollars for this project came from individuals and organizations who trusted The Salvation Army to meet community needs. This building is only possible because of the generosity and support from people in the community," McElroy said.
The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club Summer Day Camp program will begin on Wednesday, June 6, offering a five-day program for $50 a week and a three-day program for $30 a week.
Tuition assistance is available for families that qualify.
