Lake City duo charged with attempted murder

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A man and woman from Lake City are behind bars after police say a man was stabbed over the weekend.

Captain Michael Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, tells WMBF News that 67-year-old Victor Brayboy and 43-year-old Carolyn Williams were arrested Saturday and charged with attempted murder.

Nunn says Brayboy and Williams were involved in an altercation Saturday, after which Brayboy held a victim allowing Williams to stab them multiple times.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and later transferred by helicopter to the Medical University of South Carolina.

Brayboy and Williams are being held at the Florence County Detention Center on surety bonds of $75,000.00 each.
