Fallen luggage cart damages car outside MB hotel

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) In a bizarre twist of events, one man returned from making a delivery to a hotel room to find a fallen luggage cart in the bed of his truck.

The victim claimed in the incident report WMBF News obtained from Myrtle Beach Police he was making a delivery to a hotel on the 3000 block of North Ocean Boulevard around 10:55 p.m. Friday night.

He says he parked his truck in front of the hotel and went inside, but when he returned at 11 p.m. he witnessed a luggage cart falling from an unknown floor, which landed in the bed of his truck and broke his rear windshield.

When the victim attempted to locate who had thrown the cart, he could not find anyone on the upper-level balconies. The report says hotel management also spoke with guests to help identify the culprit with no results, and they did not have surveillance footage of the incident.

The damage to the truck was estimated at $1,800.
