GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A Myrtle Beach man was arrested Friday for attempting to solicit a minor through the internet.
The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, a member of South Carolina's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, made the arrest with the assistance of the Horry County Sheriff's Office.
According to Attorney General Alan Wilson, authorities arrested 21-year-old Brandon A. Peluso of Myrtle Beach for criminal solicitation of a minor and attempted criminal conduct with a minor.
Wilson says Peluso used an internet website to solicit sex from an individual he believed was a minor child, engaging in conversations of a sexual nature and making arrangements to meet.
Peluso is being held on a $10,000 surety bond in the Georgetown County Detention Center, pending prosecution by the Attorney General's Office.
