BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) Brunswick County Deputies are currently investigating the shooting of a man and woman inside a home in the Supply area early Sunday morning.

Jonathan Cortes Molina, 28, of Shallotte, NC, was arrested at 3:35 a.m. Monday morning in connection with the shooting incident. Molina is charged with discharge of a weapon into an occupied property, which is a felony.

Deputies were dispatched to a Supply home at 12:48 a.m. Sunday morning on Blue Marlin Street. SW, in reference to a female that had been shot.

According to Sergeant Del Routh, spokesperson for BCSO, the first deputy to arrive on scene was advised by a neighbor that Jose Aguire, 29 and 23-year-old Francheska Rivera Rodriguez had been shot.

Deputies say it appears that the shots were fired from outside into the mobile home.

Both shooting victims were transported to the Brunswick Novant Medical Center.  Shortly after, the two were transported to the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Sgt. Routh reports that Aguire has been released from the hospital. Rodriguez's condition was not immediately known.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office was looking for an additional male suspect, but later determined he was not a person of interest in this case.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Detective Mike Murray at 910-880-4942 or the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office 910-253-2777.
