MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Officials have identified the woman killed in a fatal accident that occurred in Marlboro County Wednesday morning.
The SCHP's website says the accident occurred at 9:44 a.m. on the 2100 block of Family Farm Road between SC 385 and Adamsville Road.
Lance Corporal Sonny Collins with the SC Highway Patrol says the victim was driving a Jeep Wrangler that ran off the right side of the road, struck a tree and overturned. The victim, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the Jeep, Collins said.
Marlboro County Coroner Tim Brown identified the crash victim as 45-year-old Bernice Lowry of Laurinburg, NC. Brown said she died of multiple internal injuries.
Crews are still investigating what caused this accident.
