No charges filed in Surfside motorcycle crash

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Officials say no charges have been filed in the motorcycle accident that occurred overnight in Surfside Beach.

Mike Frederick, Surfside Beach Police Chief, tells WMBF News that the motorcycle driven by a woman from Virginia collided with a Jeep in Surfside Beach Tuesday night.

The driver of the motorcycle appeared to be unconscious after the accident, and was rushed to the hospital. The driver of the Jeep was uninjured.

It's unknown right now what caused the accident, though Frederick said he did not believe alcohol was a factor. Police say no charges have been filed.
