Three car collision blocked lanes of beach bound Highway 501

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The southbound lanes of Highway 501 between the Chevrolet dealership and Robert Grissom Parkway were closed for some time as police and fire crews cleared the scene of a non-injury accident.

A WMBF News crew on the scene of the accident reports that three cars collided in front on the Myrtle Beach Chevrolet.

Police tell WMBF News that one vehicle rear-ended another, and that vehicle veered into another lane, striking another vehicle on its side and causing it to flip.

Fortunately, no occupants of the three vehicles were injured, but the road was shut down as crews worked to clean up the accident.

As of 10:30 p.m., all lanes had reopened to traffic.
