GCSO takes stand against domestic violence

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) Georgetown County Sheriff Cribb has rescheduled his public press conference for Wednesday, May 9 at 1 p.m.

The press conference originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 8 will be held Wednesday at the Family Justice Center at 1530 Highmarket St. in Georgetown.

Sheriff Cribb is expected to introduce his program to men in the Family Justice Center's mission to reduce criminal domestic violence in Georgetown County.

Sheriff Cribbs says he is certain enlisting the aid of Georgetown men can reduce these crimes. His goal is to recruit at least 500 men.

The Family Justice Center in Georgetown is the only one in South Carolina and the only non-profit Justice Center in the world. Sheriff Cribb has been supportive of its efforts since its inception in 2006.
