MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Officials with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested two former Marlboro County employees Wednesday morning.

An investigation by SLED at the request of the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office led to the arrests of two Marlboro County employees.

Alicia Nicole Summerville, 27, of Clio was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with misconduct in office.

An affidavit states that Summerville was a Marlboro County 911 dispatcher from March 2009 until July 2011, during which time she carried on a sexual relationship with an inmate in the South Carolina Department of Corrections. Summerville and the inmate were carrying on this relationship in the Marlboro County Administration Buildings maintenance shop, according to witness statements.

Wiley Clarence Parham, 42, of Bennettsville was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Parham worked for the Marlboro County Maintenance Crew between January and August 2011, during which time Parham was in possession of Lorcet without a prescription. Parham claimed , according to the affidavit, that he took the pills for his back.

Both Summerville and Parham were taken in custody at the Marlboro County Detention Center.
