FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) After identifying a man in a shooting that occurred Wednesday, the Florence County Sheriff's Office needs your help locating him.
Investigators on the case say they are looking for 23-year-old Derrick Brown in connection with a shooting that occurred on Pendo Count in Florence County Wednesday night.
Captain Michael Nunn, spokesperson for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, says Brown reportedly shot a man in the chest while he was trying to drive away, and then fled in the victim's car.
A family member of the victim drove them to the hospital for treatment, where they remain Saturday. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Nunn said Brown is a black male with black hair and brown eyes, and stands approximately five feet nine inches tall. He was last seen driving a charcoal gray 2006 Chevrolet Impala.
Warrants sought for Brown include attempted murder, carjacking and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
