DHEC puts top Myrtle Beach restaurants to the test

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) TGI Friday's along North Kings Highway has an ‘A' rating, however, this wasn't the case Thursday morning. During a recent routine inspection, the restaurant scored an 82, a ‘B' rating. The DHEC report shows the inspector found eight  violations, two of them were critical.

The inspector reportedly found mashed potatoes held below the required temperature by DHEC and found the sanitizing solution used to clean, was the wrong concentration. The DHEC report goes on to show the inspector asked workers to clean the floors, walls and ceilings and to repair the fridge door.

TGI Friday's manager declined to do an on camera interview, however did say a DHEC inspector returned sometime on Thursday. He says the restaurant scored a 100 on the follow-up inspection, an ‘A' rating.
