FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) Florence County deputies have made one arrest in a home invasion from earlier this month, and continue their search for the second suspect wanted in the case.

The Florence County Sheriff's Office arrested 26-year-old Jeremiah Washington of Florence on Wednesday. Investigators say on April 5 Washington and a second suspect entered a home on Gilbert Drive in Florence armed with a shotgun.

Washington and the wanted suspect, Larry Wilson, 27, of Effingham, assaulted two residents of the home before demanding the victim's car keys and stealing the vehicle, according to police.

The victims were treated at a local hospital for their injuries and the car was later recovered by authorities.

Washington is charged with burglary, armed robbery while armed with a deadly weapon and first degree assault and battery. He is currently being held at the Florence County Detention Center and was denied bond by a Florence County Magistrate.

According to investigators, arrest warrants have been issued for Wilson for burglary, armed robbery while armed with a deadly weapon, grand larceny and first degree assault and battery.

Wilson is described as a black male, approximately 5' 7" tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds. Wilson should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Contact the Florence County Sheriff's Office if you have any information on Wilson's whereabouts.
