Checkpoints net 7 arrests in Florence Co.

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The Twelfth Circuit Law Enforcement Network made several arrests during traffic safety checkpoints in Florence County.

A checkpoint at East National Cemetery Road and Francis Marion Road stopped 232 cars. Another at South Cashua Drive and Third Loop Road stopped 308 vehicles. The two checkpoints on April 13 netted seven arrests, resulting from the following violations:

  • 1 - Driving Under the Influence
  • 3 - Driving Under Suspension
  • 1 - Driver's License Violation
  • 1 - Child Restraint Violation
  • 1 - Possession of Crack Cocaine
  • 1 - Vehicle License Violation
  • 1 - Possession of Marijuana
  • 1 - Other Violations
  • 2 - Felony Arrests
  • 7 - Total Arrests

The Twelfth Circuit Law Enforcement Network consists of law enforcement agencies in Florence and Marion Counties, sponsored through the South Carolina Department of Public Safety.  Florence County Sheriff's Office is the host agency for Twelfth Circuit LEN operations.
