FCSO: Manhunt ends, search continues for break-in suspect

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The Florence County Sheriff's Office conducted a search for a suspect in the area of the Rail Trail Tuesday morning.

Capt. Michael Nunn, spokesperson for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, said they received a report of a break-in in a residence near the Rail Trail Tuesday morning.

Officers searched the area with the assistance of tracking dogs, but the area is so well traveled they could not get a good scent for the suspect.

The search was called off around 11 a.m., but the Florence County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the reported break-in.

Any information about this incident should be reported to the Florence County Sheriff's Office as soon as possible.
