MBPD searches for 2 suspects in Oak St shooting

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) An overnight shooting in Myrtle Beach has police searching for two suspects with few clues to go on.

Myrtle Beach Police responded to 3505 North Oak St. around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning in reference to a shooting.

When officers arrived, they observed the victim, a 26-year-old male, lying in the parking lot stating that he had been shot.

Witnesses at the scene were able to provide police with a vague description of the shooting suspects. Police say they are on the look out for two white males, one reportedly wearing a baby blue sweater and the other dressed in a multi-colored sweater during the gunfire.

An incident report from MBPD states the suspects were last seen headed north on Oak Street.

Several witnesses provided written statements to law enforcement, but a motive for the shooting is not known at this time.

The victim's condition was not immediately known, but it is not believed his injuries are life threatening.
