Former Darlington County judge charged with DUI

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A former Darlington County judge was arrested last Friday night after police say he was driving under the influence. 

Arrest records from the Darlington County Public Index show former Judge and current attorney Glenn Mondrae "Monty" Bell was charged for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident on March 30, 2012.  Those charges come from the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Bell served on the bench for nearly five years after being appointed back in 2007 by state senator Gerald Malloy. According to state records, "Monty" was also admitted into the South Carolina State Bar Association in 2009.

The Hartsville native and Morehouse College graduate is out on bond.
