GCSO seeks suspect in Pawleys Plantation home invasion

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) Investigators with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help to locate a suspect in connection with a home invasion in the Pawley's Island community.

Carrie Cuthbertson, spokesperson for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office, said officers responded to a Pawleys Plantation residence around 2:15 a.m. on Sunday to reports that a suspect had broken into a home on Golden  Bear Drive.

The Victim reported that they were woken up by the suspect entering their bedroom and chased them out of the front door. The victim then claims to have fired one shot into the air from their front porch. The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The described the suspect as a male, standing approximately between six feet one and six feet four inches in height, dressed in dark clothing and possibly wearing a hoodie or a stocking cap.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at 843-546-5102.
