Scranton man charged in two 2010 CSC crimes

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The Florence County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Scranton man on several criminal sexual conduct charges for incidents that reportedly occurred in 2010.

Captain Michael Nunn, spokesperson for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, said 40-year-old Thomas Elbert Vanhoose of Scranton was arrested by deputies over the weekend for reportedly engaging in sexual acts with two minors in October 2010.

Vanhoose is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 14, criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 11, and two counts of committing a lewd act on a minor under the age 16.

Vanhoose remains incarcerated at the Florence County Detention Center under a $90,000.00 bond set by a Florence County Magistrate on one of his charges. He awaits the scheduling of a bond hearing before a Circuit Court Judge for the additional charges.
