NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Firefighters in North Myrtle Beach have extinguished a house blaze in the Cherry Grove area early Thursday morning.

Pat Dowling, spokesman for the City of North Myrtle Beach, said firefighters responded to an attic fire at a home in the 1000 block of Mt. Vernon Drive. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured, Dowling said.

In a picture from the City of North Myrtle Beach, it appears as though most of the attic and parts of the roof were destroyed by the blaze.

Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire at this time.
