MBPD: Witness walking dog reports break in

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police are searching for suspects in a reported burglary after a man walking his dog witnessed the incident.

According to a police report obtained by WMBF News, a witness was walking his dog along Hackler Street in the Market Common area of Myrtle Beach early Monday morning when he heard the sound of breaking glass.

When the witness turned the corner, he noticed the glass in the front door of a business broken when he heard more glass breaking and an audible alarm. The witness, the report states, retreated around the corner to call police.

After alerting authorities, the witness said he noticed an unfamiliar vehicle pulling away from the area and heading north along Deville Street by Gordon Biersch.

Responding officers noticed the front door and display cases that had been shattered. The business owner was notified by police, and was able to provide security video recordings.
