MARLBORO COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A Pee Dee man has been arrested following an investigation into possible drug activity and tips for citizens in the community.

The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office had investigated complaints and tips from the community about possible drug behavior. Police located their suspect, 44-year-old Bryan Frazier White of Cheraw, at a residence in Wallace Monday afternoon where it appears he had been living since December.

White has been charged with Possession and Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Authorities found a methamphetamine lab in the home where White was located. They found what appeared to be materials to produce methamphetamine. White cooperated with authorities before being taken into custody.

The scene was secured by the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office and the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, taking extra safety precautions due to the dangers of the drug. SLED was also called to assist in the cleanup of hazardous materials.

Sheriff Knight said, "We have received complaints about this residence and today an anonymous tip came in that helped propel the investigation. Investigators then reacted and were able to secure the scene, suspect and evidence for a solid case. The citizens should be commended for their continued cooperation with our office. These tips we get daily are crucial to solving these cases. These can be dangerous cases but we are committed to fighting these drugs and dealers in Marlboro County."
