MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police are still searching for suspects in the alleged brutal beating of a man in Myrtle Beach Friday night after one of their suspects left a virtual calling card.

An incident report obtained by WMBF News states that officers arrived at the Crepe Myrtle around 11 p.m. Friday in response to a reported disturbance to find an older man 'severely beaten.'

EMS responded to the scene, but the victim was difficult to understand due to the extent of his injuries. He stated to officers in the report that four black individuals in a silver Jeep had been the cause of his injuries, but he could not tell if they were male or female.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The report states that officers found a black plastic bag containing four pill bottles labeled with the name of a possible suspect.

That suspect was taken into custody later in the evening following a traffic stop and remains in custody at the Myrtle Beach Jail Saturday facing charges unrelated to this incident, said Sgt Snow with Myrtle Beach Police. Christopher James Suggs, 20, has now been charged with Assault / Assault And Battery 2nd Degree.

A juvenile suspect has also been charged with Assault in connection with this incident.

The identity of the remaining suspects or the motive of this incident is still in question. Any information about this incident should be reported to Myrtle Beach Police as soon as possible.
