Darlington burglary suspects face over 100 Charges in string of break-ins

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF)Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd said that his investigators have charged three suspects in connection to a string of burglaries that date back to October of last year.

Three suspects are in a jail in connection to these cases. Arrested were Jeremy Wilson (19), Devonte Anthony Williams (18), and Devante Marquis Lyde (19) all from Florence.

The three suspects were caught in Florence County on the 14th, by deputies, while breaking into a residence. The apprehensions lead to information about 16 other burglaries in Darlington County and one in Chesterfield County. The bandits are also connected to two burglaries in Williamsburg County.

"We believe that this group may be responsible for other burglaries in Darlington County" said Sheriff Wayne Byrd.

The suspects are believed to have stolen over 65,000.00 in house hold goods over the past 4 months. The three are facing 135 warrants on charges from burglary to grand larceny.

These cases, and more, are still being investigated by all the agencies involved. The three suspects are in jail awaiting bond.  More charges could be forthcoming in this case and more arrests are expected.
