SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Surfside Police arrested two teenagers early Monday morning following a special investigation into a firearms incident.
After receiving information about a suspect involved in a firearm incident outside of the Town of Surfside Beach, police teamed up with Horry County officers to investigate.
Officers located the vehicle belonging to that suspect Monday morning, and after stopping the vehicle discovered a handgun under the front seat. That loaded weapon was seized, and it was noted that the serial number had been removed.
David Earl Kelly, 18, of Surfside Beach was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, Possession of Firearm with Serial Number Removed, Possession of an Altered or Counterfeit Driver's License. Kelly was arrested in 2011 are assaulting a police officer.
Bryan James Harris, 17, of Myrtle Beach was arrested and charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol, Possession of Firearm with Serial Number Removed, Possession of Firearm by Person Under Age of 18
