CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Coastal Carolina led by as many as 15 in the first half against Tennessee Tech, but the Golden Eagles proved to be too much as CCU fell 77-71 on Saturday afternoon.

The game will likely be the last men's basketball game ever played at Kimbel Arena, as the Chants are set to move into their new Convocation Center next season.

CCU's 15 point first half lead was quickly erased, as Tennessee Tech finished the half on an 18-3 run to tie the score at 26 going into the break.

In the second half the Golden Eagles led by as much as 16 points before Coastal started narrowing the margin.  The lead was cut to 4 points after an Anthony Raffa three pointer with 38 seconds left, but the Chants couldn't get any closer.

All five Coastal starters scored in double figures, but the bench only gave the Chants nine points.  Leading CCU was Jon Pack with 15 points and 9 rebounds, while Sam McLaurin added 12 point and 5 boards.

The loss drops CCU to 18-9 overall, and they remain at 11-5 in the Big South.

Next up for Coastal is a two game Big South road swing to finish out the regular season.  CCU will be at Liberty next Thursday, February 23rd and finish the year at VMI on the 25th.
