A Prospect man found guilty of setting fire to a relative's home has been sentenced to at least 11 years in prison, according to the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.More >>
FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A Coward man has been charged
with cruelty to children after deputies say he hit a child with a belt and left
bruises behind in December.
Capt. Mike Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's
Office, told WMBF News Troy Miles, 32, is accused of striking an 11-year-old
child in his custody with a belt
numerous times, leaving behind bruises that could be seen on Dec. 8.
If Miles is convicted, he faces a punishment of up to 30
days in jail and a fine of up to $200.
Nunn said Miles was released from the Florence County
Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
