Joe Murano joined the WMBF sports team as a weekend sports reporter, bringing our Grand Strand and Pee Dee viewers the best HD sports stories and highlights for over a year before becoming WMBF News's Sports Director.
Now Joe is excited to continue bringing you the best every weekday. He comes to Myrtle Beach from KHQA-TV in Quincy, Illinois where he was a weekend sports anchor and reporter for three years.
Prior to getting his start in Quincy, Joe worked at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri as a sports photographer, anchor and reporter. While working in Columbia, he also graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and is excited to see the Tigers also coming south as the newest members of the SEC.
Before living in the Midwest, Joe was born in New Jersey and also spent time living in New York. While he's happy to now call the south home, he'll be spending most of his free time at the beach, or trying to actually improve his golf game.
If you have a story idea, please feel free to let him know, at jmurano@wmbfnews.com.
