HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Officers with the Horry County
Police Department are searching for a man who held up another Kangaroo gas station
along Highway 9 Tuesday night.
According to a police report obtained by WMBF News, officers
responded to the Kangaroo located at 3498 E. Hwy 9 around 11 p.m. in reference
to an armed robbery. The victim told police a black male entered the store and
requested a pack of Newport cigarettes.
When the victim turned to give the suspect the cigarettes,
the suspect leaned over the counter and told the victim to "Give me all the
money, don't make me hurt you." The suspect showed a small, 4" knife in his
hand and pointed it at her, the victim said.
The victim said she told the suspect she couldn't open the
drawer to which the suspect said "I'm not kidding around, don't make me use
this on you," the report said. When the victim backed away from the register,
the suspect left the store with no money and just a pack of cigarettes.
The suspect then fled on foot over Sea Mountain Highway and
down Pecan Lane. He has been described as being between 25 and 35-years-old
with a slight moustache on his upper lip. He was wearing a cream colored hat
with a green brim with an unknown team logo on the front, a puffy jacket and
dark jeans at the time of the robbery.
