DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A Darlington County woman has been charged with attempted murder after deputies say she stabbed two people Friday afternoon.
Sheriff Wayne Byrd with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, told WMBF News Hayley Nicole Futrell was inside her home in the Hartsville area when two women entered the home to retrieve some of their things around 1 p.m.
During the incident, Futrell became angry and then threatened both women with a knife, according to Byrd. Byrd also said one woman was stabbed in the head while the other was stabbed in the hand.
Both were treated at Carolina Pines and have since been released.
Futrell has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and prisoners possessing contraband, according to the Darlington County Detention Center.
It is unknown at this time how Futrell is facing the other charges.
