DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) A high speed chase in Darlington County ended in a crash and the arrest of one male suspect Saturday night.
Deputies with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic call that lead to a high speed chase, said Captain Andy Locklair with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.
Officers were responding to a report that a man was threatening to shoot his wife. Deputies arrived on scene to find 35-year-old Terry Dubose entering his vehicle and fleeing the scene.
"When the deputy attempted to stop Dubose, a chase began. Dubose lost control of his vehicle entering the city of Darlington and crashed at the intersection of Broad and S. Main" said Sheriff Wayne Byrd.
The Jaws of Life were used by fire officials to extricate Dubose from his vehicle after his truck flipped several times. Dubose was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries, said Locklair.
Dubose is now facing Criminal Domestic Violence, Failure to Stop for a Blue Light, and DUI charges. Dubose was highly intoxicated at the time of the accident, which remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
