Conway Police make arrest in Dec. Duckett St. shooting

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) Conway Police have made an arrest in the Duckett Street shooting which occurred last month that left two victims with gunshot wounds.

Catina Hipp, Public Information Officer with CPD, says officers arrested Marquis Terrell Cox, 28, of Conway, in connection to the shooting from Dec. 11.

Police say Cox entered a residence on Duckett Street in the city limits of Conway in early December and shot two people, leaving one victim with a gunshot wound to the back, and another with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Officers responded to an emergency call at approximately 7 p.m. on Dec. 11 to find the two victims, and both were transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Cox was located early Monday morning at a residence on Oak Street in Conway and taken into custody without incident. Cox has been charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
