Suspects on loose after attempted bank robbery in Loris

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Horry County Police continue to search for three suspects in an attempted bank robbery Wednesday afternoon.

Sgt. Robert Kegler, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, said around 12:25 p.m. officers were on scene at the Horry County State Bank at 3210 Highway 701 in Loris.

Kegler said police were actively searching for three black males in connection to the incident. One was wearing a gray hoodie and they all were wearing bandanas on their faces.

According to an initial call into dispatch, the suspects attempted to get into the bank through a back door as an employee was leaving.
