HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) The Horry County Police Department has identified two men wanted in connection to two robberies in the Little River area earlier in the month.

Sgt. Robert Kegler, spokesman for the Horry Count Police Department, said Callahan Sherman Seagle, 25, of Calabash and Henry Logan Leggett, II, 24 were facing charges after two robberies on Jan. 4 and Jan 5.

On Jan. 4, officers responded to the parking lot of the Food Lion located at 1699 Highway 17 after a victim reported a robbery. The victim told police her purse was snatched by an unknown male, who then jumped into a Chevrolet S-10 with another unknown man and fled.

Then again on Jan. 5, officers responded to the parking lot of Lowe's Foods at 2575 Highway 179 after another woman reported a man snatched her purse. Kegler said the victim was assaulted during the incident and lost a tooth as a result. Again, the suspect got into a Chevrolet S-10 and fled with another man.

Upon further investigation into the robberies, Seagle and Leggett were identified as suspects and found to be incarcerated at the New Hanover County Detention Facility in Castle Hayne, NC for similar incidents.

Warrants were obtained for two counts of armed robbery and one count of assault and battery in the first degree for Seagle and three counts of accessory before the fact of a felony for Leggett.

They will be formally charged once they return to Horry County, Kegler said.
