Roads to close during MB MLK parade

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The City of Myrtle Beach has released information on the route the Dr. Martin Luther King Grand Parade Monday morning.

The parade will begin to set up around 10 a.m. Monday morning on 8th Avenue North from Chester Street to North Ocean Boulevard, City spokesman Mark Kruea told WMBF News.

The parade will then begin at 11:30 a.m. and take this route:

Northbound on North Ocean Boulevard, turn west onto Mister Joe White Avenue, turn north onto Dunbar Street, turn east onto Spivey Avenue, turn north onto Carver Street, turn east onto 18th Avenue North, turn north onto Legion Street, turn east on 20th Avenue North and then disband into the parking lot of Kono Bar and Grill.

The roads will be closed during this time and motorists should avoid the area.  Attached is a map of the parade route.
