Marshals catch man wanted for threatening Conway officials

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) U.S. Marshals have arrested an Indiana man Conway officers say threatened court officials in June of 2010.

According to a release from the Conway Police Department, William David Weintraub, 46, of Muncie faced outstanding warrants for four counts of intimidation of court officials jurors or witnesses and two counts of unlawful use of the telephone.

These charges stemmed from incidents on June 16, 2010 and June 18, 2010, in which Weintraub allegedly called the Conway Municipal Court and threatened court officials regarding his conviction related to a charge of unlawful use of the telephone on May 21, 2010.

Conway Police said Weintraub is also under investigation for a series of threats against Conway based schools on Friday. Further details surrounding those threats were not immediately made available.
