MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) The temperatures across Myrtle Beach have been cold for sure, but cold enough for snow? At least in one front yard.

Austin Bellamy and his dad wanted a white Christmas, and when Mother Nature didn't deliver, they made a plan of their own.

The Bellamy house is known for having a little winter joy when the temperature is just right.

"We were hoping we could get snow on Christmas," explains Austin, "...[but] that didn't work out. It wasn't until about a week ago that we got the forecast. So we've been preparing."

The duo has been preparing for what has become a yearly tradition on Canterbury Lane in the Pine Lakes neighborhood of Myrtle Beach.

The Bellamys have actually created their own winter wonderland for the past 13 years, making just enough snow to cover their yard for everyone to enjoy.

When the temperatures dipped below freezing, it was time to crank up the snow making machine.

"So my dad said, 'ok... let's go make some snow'," recalls Austin.

The yard actually has one area with about four feet of snow piled up. A rare sight they say is open for anyone who wants to come see or play in.
