MBPD seek suspect in reported armed robbery

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police are looking for a man they say was involved in a reported convenience store robbery Saturday morning in Myrtle Beach.

Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at Gullies along North Kings Highway Saturday morning around 3:45 a.m.

An employee told police that a young male entered Gullies, got a soda and brought it to the store counter. The male suspect paid for his drink with two $1.00 bills.

When the suspect was receiving his change, he snatched money from the register. The employee grabbed the suspect's wrist, he stated in the police report,  trying to get the money back. The suspect then presented a knife which grazed the employee's hand.

The suspect reported fled with $50 in cash.

The suspect is described as a thin black male in his early twenties, standing 5 foot, six inches tall and wearing a baseball cap and grey sweatshirt.
