CPD: burglar charged after turning self in

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) Conway Police have charged one man in connection to several Conway burglaries after he turned himself in.

Isaiah McCray of Conway turned himself in Conway Police on Christmas Day. McCray has been charges with first degree burglary and two counts of second degree burglary for crimes committed within the city limits of Conway.

McCray has been charged in connection with an incident that occurred on Aug. 23 on Long Avenue Extension. Homeowners at that resident returned home to find damage to the side entry door of their home, and ransacked cabinets and doors. Owners of the home said cash, passport and jewelry had been taken.

McCray is also being charged in connection to a burglary on Elm Street. The owners of that home told police all windows and doors were locked when left but found a side door open when they returned home. They claimed several guns, computers and a television had been taken.
