Arrests made in connection to Spivey Ave. murder

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Police have made three arrests in connection to the Spivey Avenue murder that occurred Sunday afternoon in Myrtle Beach.

Captain David Knipes with the Myrtle Beach Police Department says detectives arrested two juveniles and one adult Wednesday night in connection to the homicide of 29-year-old Michael Brown of Myrtle Beach.

According to Knipes, 17-year-old Trevoir Lance is charged with Accessory after the Fact to the Homicide, while the two juvenile suspects are charged with charged with murder and attempted armed robbery.

The arrest warrant issued for Lance states that the teen "assisted in disposing of the gun used in the murder."

Knipes adds that the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.

Officers responded to Spivey Avenue in Myrtle Beach Sunday afternoon where the victim, later identified as Michael Brown, was found lying unconscious on the sidewalk. Brown was transported to the hospital for treatment where he later died of his injuries, Vincent Dorio with Myrtle Beach Police confirmed to WMBF News.
