DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
A full investigation by Rock Ohio Caesars Construction Team, OHSA and City officials continues Monday to determine the cause of Friday's collapse of a section of the parking structure.
The team is analyzing the conditions at the site to determine the nature and extent of damage in the affected area. With permission from OSHA and the City of Cleveland, limited construction activities will resume on portions of the deck unaffected by the collapse.
To ensure worker safety, personnel will stay clear of areas directly below the deck forms as well as adjacent areas of the incident.
The structure is independent of Horseshoe Casino Cleveland, and the incident will not affect the opening of the casino in March 2012.
On Friday, December 16th at approximately 3:30PM, a portion of the second level of the parking deck collapsed as concrete was being poured.
