Bennettsville man found guilty of 2011 murder, to be sentenced to 30 years

BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Tyrone Quick was found guilty Wednesday afternoon of murder for the shooting that killed 45-year-old Patrick McLaurin on Friday, December 15, 2011 in Bennettsville, according to Marlboro County Solicitor Will Rogers.

Bennettsville Police said when they showed up to Amelia Street around 10 p.m. that night they found McLaurin shot several times.

Authorities said Mclaurin later died after being taken to the hospital.

According to records, Tyrone Quick was arrested on December 16 and indicted on May 15th, 2012.

Quick was on trial this week, and was found guilty Wednesday. Solicitor Rogers said Quick is being sentenced to 30 years in prison.
