MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) One woman has been taken into custody after her vehicle crashed into the day care her child attends Tuesday evening.
Myrtle Beach Police responded to the scene of an accident on Highway 15 in Myrtle Beach where a car reportedly collided into a building, the Busy Bodies Day Care Center, while pulling in to pick up a child around 5:40 p.m.
According to Cpl. Toole with Myrtle Beach Police, the child was not in the car at the time of the accident. Children were present at the time of the collision, but no one was injured.
The day care director said the driver then left the scene in that car and returned in another car. The driver was seen doing a sobriety test and being placed in the back of squad car.
The driver, 22-year-old Cheyenne Calhoun, is in custody at the Myrtle Beach Jail Tuesday charged with a second offense driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and no valid driver's license.
The incident damaged the double doors of the building, but the day care director said they will be open tomorrow.
