MBPD: Man reportedly stabbed walking home on Joe White Ave

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Myrtle Beach Police are searching for three suspects in connection with an assault that occurred early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday morning in reference to a reported stabbing. Responding officers spoke with the victim, who claimed he was walking along Mr. Joe White Avenue around 4 a.m. when he was approached by three males.

The victim stated in the police report that he was unsure of the three suspects nationalities, but thought they were either Hispanics or light-skinned African Americans.

According to the victim's statement, the three suspects were passing him on the street when they attacked him. One of the suspects grabbed the victims head and threw him to the ground.

The victim stated he felt a pain in his left thigh and realized  he had been stabbed. Two of three suspects ran toward the Bay Street Apartments, but the victim is unsure in what direction the third suspect fled.

The victim ran to his girlfriend's home after the encounter, which lasted around fifteen seconds, and they drove to the hospital where they meet police. The victim could not describe the suspect but thought they were probably between the age of 17 and 20 years old.
