GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office has arrested two men wanted in connection to an armed robbery at a Pawleys Island convenience store.
Deputies responded to a reported robbery on Friday, Dec. 9 at approximately 8:30 p.m. at the guard shack in Pawleys Plantation, said Carrie Cuthbertson, spokesperson for the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office.
The victim reported he had been robbed by three suspects that appeared to have handgun while waiting on his friend, and was able to identify the suspects to police, Cuthbertson said.
Later Friday night, 24-year-old Michael Christian Lee of Pawleys Island was arrested and taken into custody at the Georgetown County Detention Center where he awaits a bond hearing.
The two remaining suspects, identified as 26-year-old Jeremy Lavester Holden and 19-year-old Darnell Michael Simmons, both of Pawleys Island, were wanted in connection with this armed robbery.
Monday, Cuthbertson said the pair turned themselves into authorities around noon. Both have been charged with armed robbery and are awaiting a bond hearing.
