MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) 2011 was a record
breaking summer along the Grand Strand and we have the Myrtle Beach Area
Chamber of Commerce to thank. A recent research project shows the marketing
efforts by the Chamber to recruit visitors – especially first time guests –
performed better than expected. Members are extremely pleased with the
direction and management of the organization.

I'm fortunate to have the opportunity to serve on the
Board of Directors for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber. I believe a strong local
chamber is critical to the viability of a community. After working closely with
a variety of chamber organizations I can tell you that this chamber is top
notch.
In fact, The Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce has been
recognized as one of the best managed chamber organizations in the country. And
Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Chamber, is one of the brightest leaders in
our community. The record breaking numbers from this past summer and the positive
research results prove that.
